Terms of Purchase - Medical Disclaimer and Limitations

As a consumer and customer with us, it is crucial that you understand the purpose and limitations of our health tests. These may also be updated periodically.

If you have health concerns or feel unwell, FemineaLab strongly recommends that you seek immediate medical assistance from healthcare professionals. In case of a medical emergency, please dial 112. It's important for you as a consumer to be aware that the results of the analyses can sometimes be misleading due to various factors, such as not following the provided sampling instructions or for other reasons

General Medical Information

FemineaLab, after receiving the results of the medical analyses from the analyses laboratory, verifies the values and, if there is any value/result outstanding (too low or too high), provides the consumer with general medical information based on established medical theory. This information is purely theoretical and does not constitute personal medical advice, consultation, or individualized treatment. FemineaLabs’s role is to explain what the value might generally mean and suggest what a person, in that situation, might generally do.

Lack of Personalization

The consumer acknowledges and agrees that the information received from FemineaLab is general in nature and may not be 100% applicable to their specific case. FemineaLab works with a limited set of analyses, chosen by the consumer, and does not have the obligation to request additional analyses, analyse additional details, or verify the personal situation of the consumer. The consumer is 100% liable for any decisions they make based on the information and suggestions/recommendations received from FemineaLab.

No Personalized Information or Treatment

The consumer is aware that they cannot request personalized information, answers, or treatment from FemineaLab. FemineaLab does not offer, and the consumer is not entitled to, personalized medical advice, consultations, or individualized treatment. FemineaLab's services are limited to providing general and theoretical information regarding the values obtained from the analyses.

Limited Role of the Doctor

Even though the medical information is provided by a Swedish doctor, the consumer acknowledges that the doctor’s role is limited to providing general and theoretical information related to the values obtained from the analyses. The doctor will not request additional documents or details from the consumer, as they do not treat the consumer as a patient. The consumer is explicitly aware that they are not considered a patient of FemineaLab or of the doctor that provides the general and theoretical medical information related in abstract to the results of the analyses.

Consumer Responsibility

The consumer understands and accepts that they are solely responsible for any actions they take based on the information and recommendations provided by FemineaLab. The consumer has the discretion to decide whether they wish to undergo additional analyses or follow any suggestions provided by FemineaLab.

Non-Medical Role of FemineaLab

It is essential to understand that FemineaLab does not perform any medical tests/analyses, nor does FemineaLab engage in medical practice. FemineaLab’s role is limited to facilitating the arrangement of tests/analyses with the Laboratory and providing the consumer with the results. FemineaLab does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment.

Description of Blood Analysis

What the consumer receives from FemineaLab is only a theoretical analysis of the results of consumer’s blood tests, from licensed Swedish doctors and/or the laboratory. These comments offer a general perspective on deviations from reference levels and do not constitute medical consultations or specific advice regarding actions you should take. The input provided by FemineaLab’s doctors are not tailored to individual consumers.

No Diagnosis or Explanation

The consumer will not receive a diagnosis or an explanation for the reasons behind their specific value readings.

Health Assessment Limitations

FemineaLab’s blood analysis cannot determine whether the consumer is in good health or have any medical conditions solely based on blood samples. However, it may identify elevated or low values when compared to established reference values.

Absence of Comprehensive Diagnosis

The products offered by FemineaLab do not cover all possible diagnoses or variations in blood values. Even readings considered "normal" can occasionally deviate from reference values. The determination of whether results are significantly deviant is assessed by FemineaLab’s doctors on a case-by-case basis. In the event of significant deviations, FemineaLab will always initiate contact with the consumer, but any medical consultation via e-mail or phone is prohibited.
